You begin your magical holiday today as you board your flight to Kenya–the heart of Africa safari. On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Overnight at Nairobi Safari Club (BB)
After breakfast, you will depart for Ngorongoro through Namanga border.After border formalities, you will be met by our partner Tanzanian driver/guide who will drive you to Arusha town .After lunch at Arusha town you proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will arrive at the lodge time for check in followed by an afternoon leisure at the Lodge.
Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge (BLD)
After breakfast at the lodge, proceed on a full day crater Tour with packed picnic Lunch. In the crater you can see a spectacular array of wildlife including the big five. The crater has a variety of ecosystem including grassland forest and swamp. The lake on the crater floor is home to Flamingoes and many other species of birds.
Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge (BLD)
After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Manyara and arrive in time for lunch at your hotel. After lunch, you will embark for an afternoon game drive.
Overnight at Lake Manyara Serena.(BLD)
After breakfast, you will depart for Amboseli National park via Arusha for lunch. After lunch, you will depart for Amboseli through Namanga border. After border formalities, you will be met by our local driver/guide who will drive you to arrive at Amboseli National Park in the late afternoon. An en-route game drive will introduce you to the beauty of this park which lies in the shadow of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro (19,340 ft). Return to your lodge at sunset to watch a spectacular African sunset. This area has much game, large and small. Elephant, rhino, buffalo, Burch ell’s zebra, eland, Masai giraffe and small species of the antelope family, the common water buck, klipspringer, Grant’s gazelle, impala and the diminutive duiker among others. Back to the lodge for your breakfast after game drive. Lodges have a swimming pool where one can cool off in the mid-day heat before lunch, served with cool drinks by attentive staff.
Overnight at Oltukai Lodge (BLD)
After breakfast, a whole day’s game viewing in the area of Lake Amboseli, which is a wide salt pan, consisting of permanent swamps. This area has much game, large and small. Elephant, rhino, buffalo, Burchell’s zebra, eland, Masai giraffe and small species of the antelope family, the common water buck, klipspringer, Grant’s gazelle, impala, topi, and the diminutive duiker among others. Lodges have a swimming pool where one can cool off in the mid-day heat before lunch, served with cool drinks by attentive staff. After lunch, a game drive, returning at sunset for dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight at Oltukai Lodge (BLD)
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Nakuru with packed lunch arriving in the afternoon. An afternoon game drive in the park to enjoy the sight of pelicans bathing in the fresh water streams which terminate in Lake Nakuru. Since there is no exiting drainage, Lake Nakuru is alkaline, the perfect place for flamingos to feed on the blue-green algae. The greater flamingo attains a height of about 4.26 feet. Its plumage is almost white with a pale pink, black tipped beak. It is the lesser flamingo that has the more exotic color. About 2.72 ft. in height, it has a rosy plumage and dark red, black tipped beak. Lake Nakuru National Park has a great variety of bird life which includes the Egyptian goose and a variety of ducks that come from Europe to winter. This park is truly a bird watchers paradise. The game animals include hippo, waterbuck, gazelles, Columbus monkeys, buffalo, leopard and the Rothschild giraffe. The park is also a sanctuary for the white rhino. This park has an abundance of acacia trees, both yellow barked (fever tree) the umbrella-topped acacia and the candelabra cactus.
Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge. (BLD)
Breakfast at the lodge and time enough for some bird watching en-route to the Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving with packed lunch. An afternoon game drive during which it would be possible to locate the huge black-manned lions, for which the reserve is famous.
Overnight at Keekorok Lodge. (BLD)
A morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. The rest of the morning will be at leisure followed by an afternoon game drive. The vegetation is mostly savanna type with forested areas near the rivers and of course the dwarf acacias to cater for the giraffes. More than 60 species of animals are found here and countless bird species, this includes the Masai ostrich and the secretary bird. This is where the great migration of the wildebeest takes place at the beginning of August now acknowledged as one of wonders of the world. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive.
Overnight at Keekorok Lodge. (BLD)
After breakfast, return to Nairobi via the Mau Escarpment. Having just crossed the Rift Valley and passed Mt. Longonot it would be interesting to view the crater form a different angle, viz the tip. A brief stop at the Italian Chapel and continue the drive to arrive in Nairobi at lunch time (lunch at own). You will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight. (B)
